# Traffic definition quotas in the WebGL viewer (r277)

The ambient traffic model selector previously treated every positive density
quota as a yes/no flag and also prevented a model definition from appearing
more than once in the visible roster. The decompiled manager instead assigns
candidates to definition slots until each slot reaches its selected signed
quota byte. The viewer now tracks assignments per rendered roster and permits
a definition to be selected again until its recovered quota is reached. The
retail seven-car active ceiling remains in effect.

The live route candidate list and its per-definition counts are not exported,
so the viewer's rendered roster remains an approximation of the manager's
assignment pass. This change does not recover traffic spawn timing, actual
route choice, APsychoDriver control, or car paint states.

A fresh packaged Chrome capture on L4RD loaded the scene and reported three
rendered traffic cars. All three had road support and world-up Z above 0.9999.
The screenshot shows one small traffic car ahead; it does not establish
citywide traffic behavior or visual fidelity. The player body still has broad
warm reflection bands and the industrial road remains dark. See the screenshot
in the [visual review feed](../webgl-city/review/index.html#r277-traffic-quota-drive).
