# Slightly tighter normal steering · r475

The normal viewer steering limits changed from a yaw-rate cap of `1.15` to
`1.25 rad/s`, and from a lateral turn-acceleration cap of `22` to `26 m/s²`.
Handbrake behavior, speed limit, and gearing are unchanged. This raises the
low-speed yaw cap by about 9% and tightens the speed-dependent turn radius by
about 18% when the acceleration cap is active. The values remain viewer
playability estimates, not recovered retail physics.

Packaged host Chrome loaded L4RA Route 450 with no page or console errors. From
a stop, a 1.4-second throttle hold followed by 0.35 seconds of full-right
steering while accelerating reached `3.41 m/s` and changed the heading by
`-0.367 rad` (`-21.0°`). The capture shows the car on the marked road. This is a
short usability check, not a calibrated steady-state turn-circle comparison;
road-support collision handling can also affect the maneuver.
