# Tighter normal steering response · r458

The viewer's normal full-lock tune increased from a 1.2 to a 1.4 rad/s yaw
cap and from 11.5 to 13.5 m/s² turn-acceleration cap. Handbrake steering is
unchanged. The change reduces the speed-dependent turn radius by about 15% when
the acceleration cap is active, and raises the low-speed yaw cap by about 17%.
These remain viewer-side playability estimates, not recovered retail physics.

In host Chrome on L4RA Route 450, the 240SX accelerated to 5.74 world units/s
(about 13 mph). A 0.9-second full-right input changed heading from 2.1561 to
0.8795 radians, a wrapped change of -1.2766 radians (-73.1 degrees). The final
frame shows the car on the marked road. The input reduced speed to 1.83 units/s;
the current low-speed road-support guard may contribute, so this is evidence of
the tighter response but not a clean turn-circle measurement. No page or
console errors were reported. One initial capture at radius 160 stopped at 80
of 169 textures; the successful drive used radius 80 and reached the ready
state.
