# 240SX rear glass source audit (r329)

The orange-brown lines visible on the 240SX rear window in the r327 live capture
come from the stock `REAR_DEFROSTER` image, not from a viewer-generated overlay.
The image is embedded in `garage-cars/240sx-stock.glb` as a 128×128 RGBA image
from `GLOBALB.BUN` DXT3 texture key `0xd195be56`. Its line texels include
`(41,20,0)` and `(49,24,0)`, matching the sampled screenshot colors.

The two defroster material records retain source hashes `0x471a1dca` and
`0x3ed70c43`, texture key `0xd195be56`, usage 2, blend 1, and `alphaMode: BLEND`.
The exporter maps that source blend flag to GLB `BLEND`, and the viewer uses
standard straight-alpha blending for it. The orange tint is therefore present
in the source texture itself; changing its color or opacity would alter source
content.

The main rear pane remains unresolved. Its material key is `0x7b220ddf` and no
matching image was found in the exported GLB. Its opaque fallback means the
viewer still cannot reproduce the retail rear-pane tint and reflection. The
remaining source-backed capture needed is the retail draw state for both
defroster materials: bound stage-0 texture and alpha, descriptor bytes `+0x55`
and `+0x56`, the five `BlendState` integers at `0x86ead8`, selected technique
and pass, and diffuse-alpha inputs.

No viewer or asset change was justified by this audit. See also
