# Rebuilt retail L4RA scene export, r209

This records the r209 asset refresh. The later r211 package supersedes its
handling of texture key `0x2e95ce7d`; see the
[`r211 source-slot audit`](city-unresolved-slot-2e95ce7d-r211.md).

## Source and export

The viewer's L4RA scene was rebuilt from the installed game's
`TRACKS/STREAML4RA.BUN`, recovered read-only from the local Windows XP VM disk.
Textures came from `GLOBALB.BUN` and `TRACKS/LOC4DYNTEX.BIN`. The export now
preserves each resolved source material hash in GLB material extras and retains
unresolved texture keys, including MegaLight key `0x2e95ce7d`.

The builder omits exactly 1,024 valid triangles whose source texture slot is
`HEADLIGHTGLOW` (`0x3394fe62`). The shipped texture tables contain no image for
that material-only light pool; rendering its fallback as opaque geometry made
light cards into solid slabs. This filter is keyed to that exact slot, not to
object names. The scene retains 574,685 base triangles across 16,252 mesh
primitives and 113,383 nodes. The bound L4RA sky dome uses the two recovered
`LOC4DYNTEX.BIN` images.

The `PAN_*` shells were tested in the separate backdrop pass. They made the
default driving view render with an opaque black sky; hiding that family
restored the source sky dome. In particular, the `PAN_HILLRIDGE` panorama
contains a skyline image with an opaque black background. These far impostors
remain out of the drivable package until their retail material/compositing
state is recovered. The source `SKYDOME_*` meshes are retained.

## Chrome capture

The packaged viewer reached `City scene ready` at the normal 240-unit radius in
Chrome 150 on the Quadro P2000. It reported 89,205 nearby triangles, 221
textures, and 12 ambient body models, with no console or page errors. The
capture is [in the scrollable review feed](../webgl-city/review/).

This is a verified retail-data refresh, not a completed game export. The view
still has unresolved backdrop shells, MegaLight material state, vehicle paint,
traffic/runtime behavior, and player physics. The single capture does not
verify every region or driving route.
