# Car harmonic normalization comparison, r469

Two WebGL2 captures use the same 800×600 viewport, L4RA Route 450 start,
selected 240SX, camera and `retail-fallback` shader. The only query difference
is `carHarmonicsNormalization=image-defaults`. Each reached the rendered view,
loaded 12 ambient body models, and reported no page or console errors.

The alternate normalization makes the rear body only slightly lighter; it
still lacks convincing city reflections and remains much darker than the normal
drive renderer. The mode stays diagnostic. It does not identify the correct
live normalization or material flags used by the retail renderer.
